1. INTRODUCTION adopted a second resolution on Harmony with Nature. Since 2011, the United Nations has annually invited scientists, professionals, and others to participate in an interactive dialogue on this day, promoting harmony with nature and exploring ways to strengthen human connections with the natural world. Similarly, motivated by a commitment to care for our common home, interdisciplinary dialogue, and spiritual renewal, Pope Francis, in his letter to cardinals on August 6, 2015, stated: "(...) we wish to contribute to resolving the ecological crisis which humanity is presently experiencing. In doing so, we must first rediscover in our own rich spiritual patrimony the deepest motivations for our concern for the care of creation. (...) The annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation will offer individual believers and communities a fitting opportunity to reaffirm their personal vocation to be stewards of creation, to thank God for the wonderful handwork which he has entrusted to our care, and to implore his help for the protection of creation as well as his pardon for the sins committed against the world in which we live." The initiatives mentioned above reflect a universal desire for renewal in humanity’s relationship with nature, both at individual and societal levels, emphasizing the need for harmony with the natural world. Legal cultures have long embodied this relationship, as evidenced by regulations on nature conservation, environmental protection, agricultural law, and, in many cases, international legal frameworks. Economic profit motives often underlie the failure of environmental protection, highlighting the growing importance of effective environmental control mechanisms. In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, the consensus that shapes legislation plays a critical role in determining the most effective social regulatory instruments for protecting nature. This consensus is in turn shaped by social processes, traditions, worldviews, historical institutional frameworks, geographical factors, and, notably, the affiliation to specific legal families, as will be discussed later. Excessive long quotations and under-documented. 4 Pope Francis, “Letter for the Establishment of the ‘World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (1 September)” (6 August 2015), Libreria Editrice Vaticana, https://www.vatican. va/content/francesco/en/letters/2015/documents/papa-francesco_20150806_lettera-giornatacura-creato.html. 22
