Communication with Parents

+ Nearly 90% of students can easily or very easily discuss their problems
with their mothers, and almost 80% of young people communicate
smoothly with their fathers.

- Over the past twenty years, mothers have had a significant advantage in
communication with parents, but the quality of communication with
fathers is slowly improving.

Family Support

+ Family support levels are generally stable and high, with a slight
decrease according to girls’ responses in the latest data collection. On
the 4-28 points range Family Support Scale, the average value is 24
points, and more than three out of four students report particularly high
levels of support.

Parental Monitoring

- Based on the degree of parental monitoring, the parental control is
strong, and mothers in all age groups monitor their children more
strongly than fathers. On the Parental Monitoring Scale, which ranges
from 6 to 18, the average value of mothers is almost 16, and that of fat¬
hers is more than 14.

- In addition, mothers follow their daughters even more closely. Paternal
monitoring is more active for younger boys.

Family Meals
- More than a quarter of the students eat together with their families

every day, while another third of them eat almost every day. Higher rates
are typical among boys and younger people.
