Árpád Kékesi Kun (1972) is Associate Professor at the Department of Theatre
Studies of Károli Gáspár University in Budapest and a guest professor at the
Doctoral School of the University of Arts in Tárgu Mures. His books and
essays discuss trends and movements in 20'-century and contemporary
European performance, the history of director’s theatre, Hungarian theatre
productions after 1949 and today’s developments in Musiktheater. He is
a founder and the chief editor of Theatron, the only Hungarian journal in
theatre studies (1998—) and a member of the Philther research group (2010-).
