Another study by Ágota Fóris, Lexikológia, lexikográfia és terminológia, terminográfia. Miben hasonlítanak és miben különböznek? [Lexicology, lexicography and terminology, terminography. What are the similarities and differences between them?] delineates what lexicology and lexicography and terminology and terminography are, and how these disciplines and fields of study are similar and different compared to each other. The study collects and reviews the definitions used in linguistic literature and standards, and examines how they have changed over the years. Agota Foris’ paper, Választások és döntések a terminológiakezelésben [Choices and decisions in terminology management], reviews the different aspects of terminology management, focusing on the translation-oriented aspects that influence translators’ choices and decisions, and groups aspects of terminology management into four areas: the basic concepts of terminology management, the aims and areas of terminology management, the tools of terminology management, and terminology management in organizations and individually. In her study, A felsőoktatás és a tudomány nemzetköziesedésének hatása a magyar anyanyelvű oktatásra és terminológiára [The impact of the internationalization of higher education and science on Hungarian native language education and terminology], Agota Féris examines the prominent role of English as lingua academica in science and the role of English-medium instruction (EMD in higher education, the internationalization of higher education, and the impact of English on Hungarian higher education and terminology. She reviews higher education regulations and institutional strategies in Hungary, analyzes the position of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on the use of academic language and (implicit) terminology strategy, and finally reflects on the working language of doctoral programs in the field of applied linguistics.
