The prevalence of lifetime and past month cigarette smoking is 33.0% and 23%, respectively. 16.2% of students are regular smokers. The prevalence of lifetime and past month e-cigarette use is 36% and almost 25%, respectively. Students in higher grades show higher rates of cigarette smoking and e-cigarette use. The prevalence of lifetime and past month heated tobacco products use among 9-11" grade students is 35% and over 26%, respectively. Alcohol consumption . The prevalence of lifetime and past month alcohol use is 62% and 41%, respectively. The prevalence of lifetime and past month drunkenness is 40% and 22%, respectively. Students in higher grades show higher rates of alcohol use and drunkenness. There is a decreasing trend in the prevalence of lifetime alcohol use compared to previous data collections. Legal and illegal drug use . The combined prevalence of lifetime illicit substance use and misuse of legal substances among 9-11" grade students is 24%. The prevalence of lifetime and past month cannabis - as the most popular drug - use is 17% and 9%, respectively. There is a decreasing trend in the prevalence of lifetime cannabis use compared to previous data collections. All types of drug use are more common in the older grade. The proportions of boys tend to be higher in the use of illicit drugs, and those of girls tend to be higher in the misuse of legal substances. Problematic social media use . The prevalence of risk for problematic social media use is 13%. The risk is higher among girls. The oldest students are the least intensive users.
