ANGOL NYELVŰ ÖSSZEFOGLALÓK - SUMMARY " 227 PEER RELATIONS Peer support . Schoolchildren in general, report intensive peer support. On the Peer Support Scale ranging from 4 to 28 points, the average is 23, and twothirds of the students report high peer support. Girls perceive higher peer support than boys in all grades. Electronic Communication - Nearly a third of young people are intensive users of electronic media, i.e. they are in contact with at least one friend online almost all day. This is more typical of girls than boys and shows an increasing trend with age. The proportion of intensive users increased by around 6% compared to the proportion in 2018. - Among schoolchildren, there are significantly more students who do not prefer online communication (almost 50%) than those who prefer to talk about their feelings online (about 20%). Bullying - More than three-quarters of the students did not take part in bullying others at school: at the same time, 6% regularly bullied others. Bullying is more frequent in boys than in girls. The rates of school bullying decrease significantly with age. . Although the majority of students (71%) stated that they had never been bullied at school, every tenth student is bullied regularly (at least 2-3 times a month) by their schoolmates. Occasional bullying is more often experienced by girls, while boys are slightly more victims of regular bullying. The frequency of experiencing bullying did not change significantly between 2018 and 2022, but at the same time, becoming a regular victim has shown an overall upward trend since 2002.
