Observations can mainly be made regarding the tombs in the Theban necropolis where the whole structure of rock-tombs remained in contrast to the free standing superstructure of several tombs in the Memphite necropolis, the mudbrick and limestone material of which disappeared in the course of time due to their reuse in other constructions.
