Janichen published his collection of historical texts (Me/etemata) in 1731. On
26 November 1730, Matyas Bél (Mathias Belius) asked Samuel Dobai Székely
(1704-1779) to precisely copy Naldi’s text in Toronya.”’ Dobai Székely’s copy was
completed at the beginning of 1731.8 The considerable work remained memora¬
ble, as he mentions this assistance in his letter to Jozsef Koller on 25 June 1769.*”
Matyas Bél finally published a revised version of Naldi’s text in 1737, with a his¬
