A promoter of international cultural relations, he created with his wife a salon that gathers conspicuous figures of culture and diplomacy. Investiga en las areas de la historia cultural e intelectual, especificamente la trayectoria y difusiön de las politicas culturales en el Chile de comienzos del siglo XX.
