DEDICATION In memory of Professor László Bodnár (1944-2024), whose morality and knowledge have formed generations of international lawyers. Professor Bodnar’ ground-breaking publication concerning ecocide at the beginning of the 1970s served as a basis for my research into the international aspects of environmental crimes. I genuinely appreciate the pioneering international lawyers at the University of Szeged Faculty of Law and Political Sciences.
