GOGY) $ Welcome Speech Dear Colleagues ! In Sárospatak, wine and education have a cult. In these two areas, knowledge can be gained, as well as attitude, self-confidence, morality, and humanity. Tokaj-Hegyaljas winery is famous far and wide and is synonymous with quality worldwide. Särospatak and its region have established their reputation in the world both in terms of education and culture. We can start with Johannes Amos Comenius and continue with Ferenc Kazinczy, Lajos Kossuth, and others. Research on Tokaj wine has already been going on at various levels, but it was only a few years ago that it got a new boost with the establishment of Tokaj-Hegyalja University. Looking at historical perspectives, this amount of time does not seem like much, but it is enough to find out whom we can and cannot count on. We know that we can count on our French colleagues in this work. Tokaj-Hegyalja University is still a young institution. That is why you have little experience with it, and must be satisfied with what I solemnly promise: that we want to combine education in Sárospatak with the international recognition of Tokaj winemaking. We strongly believe that it will stand the test of time. Our goal is to contribute to the professional strengthening and development of wineries in the region by establishing viticulture and winemaking training and with international connections ensuring that Tokaj wine is not only known and recognized but also consumed more widely. And if wine can be sold, the future of the region can be even more economically stable and secure. We know that we can only build a more successful and productive future together.
