They see it as their task to be an encouraging spiritual presence for the members of the church community and to use the , natural healing power" coming from their position in the congregation. 1he interviews conducted with the pastors also make it clear that following Christ may take different forms within the church ministry, but all of these narratives testify to a seeking for God’s grace and experiencing it in the given context. It is necessary that the pastor, just like any Christian, come into, and remain in, a relationship with God, himself, and his environment. He must be honest with himself, open to people, live a life of faith and hope in Christ. In addition to this, as an ,,official Christian” the pastor must go where the people are, speak the language they understand, and stand by them so that together they can grow in their faith. 203
